A Cape Cod Tradition

Our family home was built in 1967. We began renting in 2004. Over the years guests have become friends and now friends have become family. We’ve enjoyed watching kids become parents, parents become grandparents and babies first dips.

FAQ

Can I bring my pets?

No pets are allowed. Because we have a wide array of guests throughout the year, we are sensitive to everyone so, unfortunately, we cannot allow any animals to stay.

What time can I Check-In? When is Check-Out time?

Check in is at 3p, check out is at 10a. If you need early check-in or late check-out, please ask us during your booking or ahead of your stay. The more notice you give us, the better the answer we can give you. connect your custom domain and unlock hosting features.

How do I Check-In and get keys?

A member of the Truro Waterfront Home team will meet you at the property when you check-in. They’ll walk you through the house and amenities and around the property, answering any questions you have. Likewise, someone can also meet you ahead of check out to retrieve the keys and walk the house with you if you prefer. Otherwise, you’ll be informed where to leave the keys and we’ll handle the check-out walk through later that morning.

Will there be things to do in Truro, or nearby?

There are endless ways to occupy your time, and where you do that depends on what you’re in the mood to do. In Truro, you can head to any one of our world class beaches, you can grab a top notch pizza at Montano’s, you can have a tasting at the Truro Vineyards if you’d like to be more social and shop and see some live music, Provincetown is a short trip away. You can eat at the legendary Lobster Pot, have some local oysters at the Squealing Pig, do some tourist shopping at The Cotton Gallery, try some local flavor at the Provincetown Portuguese Bakery, or set aside some time in season and take the famed Gallery Stroll down Commercial Street. Wellfleet is a quick drive and their waterfront scene is well known. Hog Island Surf Lodge’s award winning clam chowder, fresh oysters and year round breakfast scene is a favorite. Their outdoor beer garden is the best place to wind down after a day in the sun and enjoy live music. You can visit Wicked Oyster or Pearl for fresh seafood, or Flying Fish, another option for quality pizza, they also have excellent dinner in season.

Can I smoke - inside or outside?

There is absolutely NO smoking at 6 Mary’s Way. Our home is heavy with wood so that fact, coupled with the land where we sit, could turn into a tinderbox for stray flames. Thank you for your firm cooperation.

What are my cleaning responsibilities?

We will detail your responsibilities in the lease agreement you’ll receive. We take into account the cleaning fee in your payment and we’ll work to simplify the responsibilities  you have as you leave the house so you can focus more on enjoying your final moments and not stress about the small stuff.

What if I have a problem while I’m at 6 Mary’s Way?

The team at Truro Waterfront Home is available to you around the clock for emergencies or major problems to do with the house. Otherwise, we are also available to you as a concierge, if that’s something in which you’re interested. For a fee, we can step in and make reservations for meals (prepared in-home or going out), wine tastings, arrange for transportation, yoga or other wellness services … just ask.

Do you supply bedding? What about towels?

As a standard we do NOT provide bedding or towels. However, if that is something you’d like to take off your shopping list of things to bring, we can help provide those items, and others. Again, just reach out and we’ll let you know what we can do to help.

Are permits required for beach parking? If so, what’s the process to get one for my stay?

Of course you do NOT need a permit to enjoy our private bay-side beach in front of 6 Mary’s Way - and you’ll find you may not want to leave there until the sun goes down for the day. That said, YES, if you want to visit other town beaches in Truro, you will likely need a permit. We provide you with the proper paperwork and a quick trip to the Beach Office less than 10 minutes away will have you off to the sand in no time. Again, if you’d like us to handle that for you ahead of your arrival, we can work with you to have the pass waiting for you when you open the doors here. Let us know.

What kind of beach things are available to us?

Kayaks, Paddleboards, Beach Chairs and umbrellas and kids toys.

Is there anything else I should know about my stay at 6 Mary’s Way?

You tell us - we believe this should cover off on all the essentials but if we missed anything here, drop us a quick note and we’ll be sure you receive a prompt reply so you can get your details in order and book your trip of choice as soon as you’re ready.
